My Little Friend is a game for children, played inside an account a parent owns. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep, why we keep it, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, message us — our details are at the end.

Who we are

My Little Friend is a children's clothing brand and the game that comes with it. We run the app and its servers ourselves.

What we keep

  • About you, the parent: your phone number (to sign in), your password (stored only as a secure scramble we can't read back), your language and, if you add one, your email address.
  • About each child: a nickname, an age range (never a date of birth), an avatar and their progress in the game — friends, coins, diamonds, garden and home.
  • Your choices: the permissions you give and when you gave them, so we can show they were yours.
  • Orders: if you order clothes, the name, phone number, city and address we deliver to.
  • Technical basics: if notifications are on, a token to deliver them; and anonymous crash reports, cleaned of anything that could identify you, so we can fix problems.

What we never do

  • We show no ads and use no advertising or tracking tools.
  • We never sell or rent your family's data.
  • We don't collect location, contacts or photos. The camera works only on your phone — to read the code on a tag and to show your friend in your room — and nothing it sees is sent to us.
  • Children can't chat, so they can't share personal details with other players.

Why we keep it

To run your account and your children's games, to make sure a grown-up has agreed, to deliver orders, to keep play safe — for example by checking usernames and reports — and to send the notifications you asked for.

Who else sees it

Nobody, apart from the services that help us run the game: the company that hosts our servers and, only if you turn notifications on, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, which delivers them. They may use it only to provide that service.

Where it is kept

On our own servers, which are currently in France, in the European Union. Every connection to them is encrypted, and so are our backups.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. When you delete a child or the whole account, we wait 14 days in case you change your mind, then delete it; copies in our backups are gone within 35 days.

A few records are kept longer only where children's safety needs it — for example, reports about a player, for up to 24 months. If an account isn't used for 24 months, we contact you before closing it.

Your choices

From the parent area you can change your children's profiles, turn each permission on or off, get a copy of all your family's data, and delete a child's data or your whole account. You can also ask us to do any of this by message. Only the parent account can make these choices — a child can't.

Children's privacy

We follow the rules for children's apps — the United States' Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the European Union's rules for children's data (GDPR). Every child plays inside an account a parent made and agreed to, and the parent can change or delete it at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data in a way that matters, we update this page and ask you again in the app before the change applies to your family.
